FemArtMuseum in Bonn

FemArtMuseum presenteert zich voor het eerst in het buitenland op de Internationale Tentoonstelling van Vrouwenmusea in Bonn.Op deze tentoonstelling die na Bonn te zien zal zijn in Denemarken, Oostenrijk en Italië zijn presentaties te zien van musea van alle continenten;van Sudan tot Oekraïne en van Argentinië tot Zuid-Vietnam.Freda Dröes (directeur FemArtMuseum) en Trudi Willenborg (communicatie) namen deel aan het congres dat eveneens in Bonn plaatsvond.

De stand van zaken rond FemArtMuseum

Het FemArtMuseum heeft vorig jaar november een plan gemaakt voor huisvesting in een deel van het GAK-gebouw in Amsterdam. Nu onlangs bekend is geworden dat de Rietveldacademie toch niet de huurder van het GAK-gebouw wordt, ligt de bestemming van dit gebouw weer helemaal open.

Anderzijds is een kleine werkgroep o.l.v. Liesbeth Brandt Corstius gestart met het samenstellen van een eerste tentoonstelling in Nederland. Het ligt in de bedoeling deze werken nog dit jaar op een nader te bepalen plaats te exposeren.

Tips

In het Mondriaanhuis in Amersfoort is een kleine expositie ingericht met schilderijen en tekeningen van Jacoba van Heemskerck. Lees hier meer.

I am more interested in contents of art history and contemporary art and I therefore set up my own website www.femart.nl to collect and spread information on what is going on in the art scene in relation to art by women. The site is only written in dutch but hopefully you can find some news via the various links of the museums.

30.09.2008  Freda Dröes writes: “Sorry that you had to wait so long for a answer. First holidays and then exiting times. We got money from the municipal of Amsterdam to prepare an building and we are perhaps near in getting a building. I, as director of the FemArtMuseum (in construction) read you’re your resolution and the projects of network. I agree with them. I feel part of the network. I want to be on the flyer with the FemArtMuseum. But I have a board and I want to ask them if they agree also.” Dear Freda, so we wait for the answer of the board and we are happy that you feel yourself part of the network womeninmuseum!
